Tonight's Beach Walk
Friday, July 11, 2008
We've been fortunate to have some beautiful weather lately, and today was one of those days. I came home tonight and practically ran down to the beach for a sunset walk. This time I took my camera.
The story of what happened on the beach is in and on the sand at the end of the day: the footprints, the ripples from the wind, crumbling sand castles, bones, feathers, things washed up by the tides and picked through by seagulls. These are the day's leftovers to be relished in the final golden rays as the incoming tide washes away this temporary history.
