Rhododendrons

I had planned to shoot something else. Work (over 80 hours) and sleep consumed last week, and I took all of today off. I thought I would take some estuary photos in Seaside this evening (which I did--and decided to do a longer series on it instead.) But before I made it to Seaside, I stopped at the CB Library (always a little haven) to return a couple of overdue books and pick up a couple of overdue books to be.
I noticed the brilliant crimson rhododendron near the front of the building, but, when I walked to my car in the back of the building, I actually said, "Wow..." These clumps of blooms were huge--some nearly 12 inches across--and the colors and shadows were so varied and delicate. I had a new subject.

Glynis, I've been sitting and pondering many things and needed a temporary retreat. I ventured to your web page to view some landscape photos to help me escape and came across the rhodie photos. Beautiful. Hope you're doing well. Don
