The Prom at N
Friday, May 11th, 07
Today is a little strange: twists, turns, the unexpected--as has been the whole week. So when I decided to take more photos on Seaside's Prom today, picking Avenue N at random, I found this beautiful little grove of trees in the middle of the dunes.
Hewn by wind and weather, they provide some shade and interest to the sea grasses and concrete walk, apparently as well as shelter for some small birds who chirpped and flitted nervously as I snapped photos. A little haven like a quiet street, missing only Wally and the Beav playing catch.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for your wonderful photos, both on this website and Cannon-Beach.net. My husband and I live in the Tri Cities, WA (a desert), but we are beach dwellers at heart. We take several trips to Seaside/Cannon Beach every year, and we love it. Your picture of the Prom brings back so many wonderful memories of the times my husband and I have taken a stroll during our visits. I have used it as the wallpaper on my desktop at work. During the stressful days, it reminds me of many wonderful memories, and many wonderful moments, yet to come. We will be traveling that way on July 11th, and we are counting the days. In the meantime, it is so nice to visit both websites, and take a moment to take a deep breath and reflect on such wondrous beauty. Again, thank you for sharing your gift of photography with so many.
Regards,
terri
