Signs of Life

People here agree that this has been a bleak winter, even by Pacific Northwest standards. Rain, mist, SNOW, overcast skies and cool temps have dominated since November. Usually there is a break in the weather in February that, this year, never materialized.
Today is a Spring Day: partly cloudy skies, a leeeetle warmer and the sound of lawnmowers making their ways through moppy grass. Out on the beach a low tide showed us a few signs of life, much like anywhere else in the spring. Some things are sprouting, others are creeping out to the sunlight, still partially covered with winter sands. We all are waking and stretching...
