Pieces of the storm(s)

Work, computer glitches and outages, and weather have kept me from shooting/posting these past couple of weeks. Yesterday was my first chance to see what the weekend storms had wrought on the beach: bits of kelp, trees that lost their roots and limbs, wind- and water-swept sand--some of the most delicate left intact while some of the stronger, larger were battered to their cores. A few blocks inland, trees and lines came down, as did some hillside rocks. While Mother Nature took a break, I took some photos.
Today, well, another storm is blowing through---and I do mean blowing---with winds at around 30mph gusting to 70+.
